TRYOUTS

Our tryouts are designed for athletes ready to commit to our club and accept placement on a team as determined by our coaches. Before attending tryouts, discussions regarding commitment levels for National or Regional teams should be completed. This ensures that all participants are fully prepared to join our club and contribute to their designated team's success.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your session. Parents must be at tryouts for information and commitment signatures.

Practices

At RUSH volleyball club, we believe the culture of practice should echo the intensity, discipline, and communication we aspire to showcase during competitions. 

As coaches, it's our responsibility to instill this culture in our practices, consistently setting high standards and providing the guidance and support our players need to meet them. Our aim is not just to produce talented athletes, but well-rounded individuals who value discipline, teamwork, and mutual respect.

All teams in each session will train together in a Master Coach structure. This practice format has been the favorite of our National teams this past summer. Allows for top level instruction, increased reps, elite competition within practice, and increased coaching feedback. The result is an increased rate of growth from every player regardless of "team coach" or age group. All athletes will be instructed in the same elite manner.

Mesa: Practices will be held at Arizona Athletic Grounds. 
    National Teams: Practice Tuesday & Thursday 7pm to 9pm.
    Regional Teams: Practice Tuesday & Thursday 5pm to 7pm.

Tucson: Practices will be held at Sporting Chance Center.
    National Teams: Monday & Wednesday 7pm-9pm.
    Regional Teams: Monday & Wednesday 5pm-7pm.

Season Schedule

Our 2024-2025 season is meticulously designed to provide athletes with a competitive environment that fosters long-term success. Our pricing per tournament and practice ensures athletes and their families receive unparalleled value compared to any other club in Arizona.

National Teams: Each National team aims to achieve a top 48 ranking to qualify for the AAU National Open Championships. Our carefully planned schedule is tailored to support this objective.

​

Regional Teams: Although our Regional teams primarily focus on local competition, we encourage additional travel to enhance their development and growth. These opportunities are always supported to further advance their skills.

MESA NATIONAL TEAMS
​Cost: $4400. Tournaments Listed above. 3 SoCal Cup, Brickyard Battle, AAU Nationals in Florida. Includes Balltime. Full Jersey Package: 3 Jerseys, 3 Shorts, Backpack, Hoodie, Joggers, and Socks. 27 Tournament days, roughly 81 matches.

Payment Plan: $4500. Payments are broken down to $1000 at signing, 5 payments of $700. Due January 1st.

MESA REGIONAL TEAMS
​Cost: $2100. Tournaments listed above. 2 Jerseys, 2 Shorts, Backpack, Hoodie, and Socks. 9 Tournament Days, Roughly 27 matches.

Payment Plan: $2200. Payments are broken down to $1000 at signing and 3 additional payments of $400. Due November 1st

Travel Options

Throughout the season, we often encounter situations where a player cannot attend travel events due to a parent's unavailability. To address this, we are offering travel packages for athletes in need of chaperoned club travel this season.

Decreased Costs:
Sending just your player instead of the whole family reduces overall travel costs significantly.

Increased Flexibility:
Parents who can attend will enjoy the freedom to spend their weekend as they wish, without being tied to a tournament schedule. They can come and go as they please, enjoying the weekend at their own pace.

Build Team Chemistry:
Teams traveling together build stronger bonds. The time spent together fosters lifelong friendships and enhances team performance.

How is This Executed?
We understand that every family travels differently, so we aim to provide flexible options to accommodate everyone. Here's how it works:

Travel and Hotel Costs:
Each travel event will have optional travel and hotel costs. These will be provided after tryouts. Families can opt-in for a full hands-off experience.

 

Example: SoCal Cup:

  • Travel Costs: $100

  • Hotel Cost: $300


Athletes can select the options they need for each weekend. If they have a ride but need a hotel, they can just choose the hotel option.


Flexible Options:
Prices are estimates. We've already booked several hotels and researched flights. The more rooms and seats we book, the better the prices the club will receive.


Handling Cost Differences:
After each weekend, a report of costs will be distributed to families. If the actual costs exceed the quoted amount, the difference will be requested. If the actual costs are less, the difference will be credited for another event or refunded at the end of the season as a check back to families.

We hope this initiative will make travel easier and more affordable, enhancing the overall experience for our athletes and their families.
